Employment Opportunities

Advertising and Marketing
Our Sales and Marketing team works with area businesses and service providers to develop advertising plans to help them reach their goals. Many of our A and M people did not have sales backgrounds, but came from other departments in radio, the service industry or directly out of college.

Requirements include: enthusiasm, good people skills, good communication skills, achievement drive, at least some college education and the ability to work with others.

On-Air Talent
Our on-air talent performs live radio shows, produces commercials and other programs, makes appearances at events and broadcasts live on-location. Most have at least some formalized education in broadcasting or journalism. Others come from outside the industry, but have a natural ability to be entertaining. Our talent must be flexible and willing to work across many radio formats.

Requirements include: the ability to work as a team, a great attitude and enthusiasm working with the public. Good communication and reading skills are a must. Talent must also be very dependable and willing to work evenings, weekends and holidays.

Front Office and Traffic
Our office department is responsible for daily logs for all seven radio stations, monthly billing invoices and accounts receivable. Practically everything heard over the radio comes through the front office.

Requirements include: the ability to handle details and work in a fast-paced environment, and dependability.

Engineering/IT
Our engineering department is responsible for the installation, maintenance and repair of all broadcast equipment, computers, tower/transmitter facilities and knowledge and compliance of basic FCC rules and regulations. Most engineers come from an apprentice background and have an inherent interest in electronics.

Requirements include: attention to detail and paperwork and a big degree of technical knowledge and skill. Some formal technical training is required.
