OTTAWA — The Illinois Department of Transportation announced their list of road projects for the next five years in La Salle and Bureau Counties. At a meeting in Ottawa on Tuesday, IDOT officials released their five year plans through 2021, which include appoximately $106 million worth of road work. Some of the bigger projects in La Salle County, which total up to $44.9 million, include the Illinois Route 178 bridge in Utica, along with other bridge replacements along major US routes and resurfacing work.
Bureau County plans include bridge replacement projects, with the Illinois Route 89 bridge in Spring Valley being the main project, and those cost just under $61 million.
