Mendota juvenile hit by car

MENDOTA — A female juvenile from Mendota was taken to the hospital after she was struck by a car on Wednesday evening. Mendota Police say they responded to a call in the 1700-block of Stroble Avenue for a report of a vehicle striking a pedestrian. Authorities say 44-year old Sandra Lampson of Mendota was southbound on Stroble Avenue, when the female juvenile walked into the roadway and was struck by Lampson’s vehicle. The juvenile was taken to OSF Saint Paul Medical Center in Mendota, then flown to Rockford Memorial Hospital, where a family member reported her condition as stable. No tickets were issued in the incident.
