LASALLE – A resident of Oglesby, Lijewski had been director of medical staff affairs at Pekin Hospital before coming to the Hygienic. Before working in Pekin, she had been director of quality, risk and safety at St. Mary’s Hospital in Streator. Lijewski also worked for 16 years at Mendota Community Hospital, including six years as chief operating officer.
The new Hygienic director earned bachelors’ and masters’ of science in health service administration degrees from the University of St. Francis in Joliet.
