AMBOY – An investigation involving law enforcement into a student making a threat against Amboy Junior High went late into the evening Wednesday, according to Superintendent Dr. Jeff Thake. The situation was addressed in a release put out by the school, but Lee County Sheriff John Simonton, Amboy Police Chief Jeff Blake, and Lee County State’s Attorney Matthew Klahn will be present on Thursday. Superintendent Thake stressed that the school and students are safe, but any threats they will be taking with the utmost seriousness.
