GRANVILLE – A weapon has been reportedly found by authorities while searching for evidence in the Diamond Bradley case. On Wednesday law enforcement with the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office searched Color Point greenhouses in rural Granville and recovered a weapon.
The Sheriff’s Office says they had information that 27-year-old Richard Henderson of Standard may have discarded some evidence at his former workplace, Color Point greenhouses. Bradley, a 16-year-old from Spring Valley, was found dead in a Putnam County roadside ditch on January 27th, 3 days after she was reported missing. Authorities say they believe the weapon recovered today is associated with the Bradley case, however, the item is being analyzed by the Illinois State Police Crime Scene Service Lab.
Henderson was arrested on February 5th and charged with concealing a homicidal death.
