CRESTON – A Rochelle man is in custody after an alleged bank robbery Tuesday in Ogle County. Just after 2 p.m. Ogle County Sheriff’s Deputies were called to the 400 Block of Route 38, Creston, to Holcomb State Bank. According to eyewitnesses, a man wearing a black hat and Chicago Bears jersey with a bandage on his face entered the bank and allegedly took an undisclosed amount of cash. Based on a description given a deputy recognized the suspect from previous contacts and arrested 39-year-old William Wayne Clark II of Rochelle. He was charged with Robbery and taken to the Ogle County Jail with a Bond hearing yet to be set.
