Mendota Not a Hot Spot of Suspicious Vehicles

HENNEPIN – Mendota is not a “Hot Spot” of suspicious vehicle activity, nor is any other community in the area.   A call about a vehicle in a driveway someone was concerned about on Saturday in Putnam County has caused numerous calls to law enforcement over what the department calls a social media post that is “totally false”.
Deputy Randall of the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office confirmed a call from a concerned homeowner mid-day on Saturday about a vehicle in their driveway, however the other information purported to have been said by a deputy are false, and Mendota was never mentioned.
