OTTAWA – Skydive Chicago in Ottawa is attempting another world-record Monday. 200 men and women across the globe will gather in Ottawa to jump from 19,000 feet to achieve a new vertical skydiving record. According to Skydive Chicago’s director Rook Nelson, in 2015, 164 people topped the record. Skydive Chicago attempts to beat the record every 3 years, increasing their number of fliers. Nine aircrafts will be used to perform the feat. Fliers are expected to jump 4 to 5 times a day, weather permitting. The event will last through Friday, August 17th.
