LONG POINT – The area fire departments of Long Point and Reading recently donated old fire hose to Woodland School for a new purpose – school security. They announced 150 feet would be cut into small sections to be used to barricade doors in the event of an active shooter. The small cut portion of hose would slip over the hanger arm of the door, slowing or preventing entry into a classroom.
