Mendota High School Updates Shooter Security Plan

MENDOTA – An updated and enhanced plan for an armed intruder situation is being implemented at Mendota High School.    According to Principal Denise   Aughenbaugh the method of Run – Hide – Fight has been endorsed by many first responders, including the Mendota Police Department.  Before the school year began, all staff began training the new procedures and beginning Thursday students will receive information as to what they should do in an emergency.   Earlier this year, Dixon High School experienced a shooting incident when a student allegedly opened fire during a graduation practice.
