CHICAGO – A video is being distributed to high schools statewide for National Teen Driver Safety Week. According to Illinois Secretary of State Jesse White, the video will serve to help address the dangers of distracted driving. Motor vehicle crashes are the leading cause of death for teens in the U.S, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. White emphasizes the important roles that parents, teachers and driver education instructors play in preparing safe and responsible teen drivers.
