PAW PAW – The votes are in for the fate of Paw Paw High School, a yes or no question that was posed on the ballot. The Paw Paw Board of Education put the issue of deactivating Paw Paw High School beginning the 2019-2020 school-year and sending their students to Indian Creek High School. It looks like the pupils could be heading to Indian Creek after all. In Lee county 363 voters voted yes to the deactivation, while 301 voted no. In Dekalb County 12 people voted yes and 4 voted no. Currently, students are taking co-op classes and shared sports, however Indian Creek has stated they do not wish to continue class-sharing as their preference is Paw Paw students attending there on a full-time tuition basis through the deactivation process.
