STREATOR – The City of Streator will be keeping its city manager form of government after all. The final vote for a binding referendum asking Streator citizens if they’d like to keep their city manager, Scot Wrighton, came in as YES. The referendum was placed on the ballot after a Streator man petitioned to remove the city manager form of government with the required amount of signatures. Wrighton was city manager from July, 1987 to March 1994; and then returned to Streator to serve as city manager again from January 2015 to 2018.
