OGLESBY – Tasty cars are making their way to Illinois Valley Community College’s cafeteria. Feast your eyes Wednesday, to IVCC’s 14th annual edible car contest, celebrating National Engineering Week. Event Coordinator and Computer Aided Design instructor Dorene Data says the purpose is to demonstrate that science, technology, engineering and math, can be creative and fun. Faculty, staff and area high schools were also invited to compete. Participants will work in teams to come up with creative and workable designs. Check-in begins at 10 a.m. with judging at 11:30 and racing at noon.
