OTTAWA – Ottawa will be home to Hawthorne’s latest off-track betting sports bar, and you can bet they’ll be open just in time for the Kentucky Derby. The new OTB venue powered by Cicero’s Hawthorne Race Course, will be located at 110 W. Etna Road. Hawthorne’s Chief Financial Officer Jeffrey Kras says the state of the art restaurant and sports book will be a day full of entertainment not only for those looking to place bets, but for the patrons looking to have a good time. There will be a soft opening in mid April, however the big day Hawthorne is preparing for is the Kentucky Derby on May 4th.
