Schedule change for garbage collection in Spring Valley

SPRING VALLEY –  Republic Services Waste Collection announced operational changes for Spring Valley. Waste service manager Jim Pozzi says garbage collection will run Monday through Thursday instead of through Friday. Pozzi says although drivers will be on the streets a day less, he’s looking to boost pickup to over 100 more homes a day. Republic Services says mattresses will be rejected unless it’s wrapped in plastic. The plastic wrapping will prevent the spread of bed bugs and waste onto workers.
