STREATOR – Streator High School’s Director of Buildings and Ground gave an update on renovations, Tuesday. Jim Dennis says all chairs have been removed from the auditorium. About ten rows of chairs were given away to the public. Dennis says the floor coming into the auditorium has been removed and waiting for grating and repaving to occur. Asbestos is still being removed from aisle ways. Scaffolding is expected to be completed in the next two weeks before asbestos removing from ceilings and archways can commence. Tuck pointing will begin by next week, weather permitting.
