OTTAWA – The city of Ottawa authorized an agreement to proceed in legal actions if need be against owners of a downtown property. According to Mayor Aussem, the problem began a year ago when parts of the building began deteriorating and the owners allegedly failed to address the issue. After the city used barricades to avoid public safety issues, it became a problem for other businesses having a blocked alley. The Mayor said they are hoping to reach agreements with the owners before the city makes a decision on any legal action.
