STREATOR – Road re-pavement in Streator will begin after the fourth of July. At Wednesday night’s city council meeting, a contract was awarded to Advanced Asphalt in Princeton for just over 100,000 dollars for the milling and overlay of South Illinois Street from Main to Lundy streets. The project comes after a needed sewer project from south Illinois Street on Bridge to Lundy Streets that took place earlier in the year. City engineer Jeremy Palm says the project will last a week.
