Employment partners sought for inmate employment initiative

OTTAWA – The LaSalle County Sheriff’s Office, Probation Office and LaSalle County State’s Attorney are seeking employment partners in a program to help offenders find local jobs. According to the Sheriff Thomas Templeton, the goal of the initiative is to reduce the risk of repeat offenders in our communities, while also working to combat drug usage in the area. Templeton says inmates involved in this program will go through a screening process and authorize the release of their LaSalle County jail records to any prospective employers.
