TIF for Peru Mall Approved at City Council Meeting

PERU – Peru City Council Members voted to approve a TIF for the redevelopment of Peru Mall at Monday night’s city council meeting. Several members of the council expressed their support for the redevelopment plan, stating that they appreciated that the owners of Peru Mall, GK Development, put the plan together. They explained that the city has benefited from the mall during the last 50 years, and it’s time for the mall to receive some reinvestment. Limited details were given during the meeting, as the city council and GK Development have signed a nondisclosure agreement.
