SPRING VALLEY – Spring Valley’s wastewater treatment pond is developing algae. City Engineer Mike Richetta says the aerator mechanisms that would prevent the bloom are not in working order. Superintendent Jeff Norton sent a letter to the company, Aerator Solutions, stating they would like their money back. The city agreed to continue to run the aerators to try and minimize algae production until the company uninstalls them.
