MENDOTA – Mendota’s police force will now have a deputy chief. Tyler Kent, a six year Mendota Police Officer, was appointed Deputy Chief at Mendota’s city council meeting Monday evening. Chief Greg Kellen appointed Kent and says he is the first deputy chief in Mendota’s 125th history. Kent says he’s honored to have received the appointment and will do his best for the department and community.
