MENDOTA – The OSF King Care-A-Van, a mobile health center will at Dodge Park in downtown Earlville, IL, on Tuesday, August 6 from 9 to 11 a.m. Dietitian Molly Pyszka will be demonstrating how to make healthy salsa made with vegetables from the Community Garden at OSF HealthCare Saint Paul Medical Center. A limited amount of salsa kits will be available for attendees to take home and make salsa using fresh, garden ingredients.
Free blood pressure checks along with blood sugar screenings, will be offered. No appointment necessary and the screenings are free. You can do a fasting blood sugar or a post prandial (after you eat) blood sugar; your results can be forwarded to your health care provider.
