DIXON – Dixon Officer Mark Dallas received the “National Officer of the Year” award from the American Police Hall of Fame & Museum in Florida on Thursday. In May of 2018 Dallas shot and apprehended 19-year-old Matthew Milby after he allegedly fired a weapon during a graduation ceremony rehearsal in the school gym. He received a replica of the plaque that will be permanently affixed at their facility located in Titusville, Florida.
