OTTAWA – North Central Area Transit is partnering with the city of Ottawa and Illinois Valley Community Hospital for emergency evacuation transportation. At Tuesday night’s Ottawa City Council meeting, a resolution was passed to authorize an evacuation agreement with the hospital and transportation service. Commissioner Wayne Eichelkraut says the agreement is similar to that of LaSalle County nursing home’s. He says if someone needs transportation in an emergency, NCAT will provide service and IVCH will assist if need be.
