MENDOTA – Sixth and Sixth Avenue in Mendota is blooming with flowers, all thanks to the garden club community. Marion Quintana dug her roots into a 26 hour project that lasted four days to create a flowery mural that graces the El Rey Taco joint wall. Garden Club President Steve Lauer says the organization has been looking to do a project like the “Grow With Us” mural , but hadn’t found the right person to take on the project. Quintana says she was happy to take on her first ever mural to make more awareness of the club and what it does for the community.
