Streator council approves Northpoint Plaza sales tax

STREATOR – Streator’s City Council approved a sales tax for the Northpoint Plaza District on Tuesday. The district will now require tenants to charge an additional 1 percent sales tax on all retail items. 
Businesses affected by the district are New China, Subway, Suzi’s Video Poker, PFC Personal Finance Company, Boost Mobile, Big R, Teleperformance,  Streator Flooring, Eplin Home Improvement, The Place 2 Be, Fitness Premier and Streator Eagle 6 Cinemas.
