OTTAWA – The city of Ottawa plans to do some work on nearby rivers. The city plans to pass an ordinance authorizing agreements with a bond service management to fund projects on the Fox and Illinois rivers. According to Commissioner Wayne Eichelkraut, the city wants to finance a water line that’s being installed underneath the Fox River, and putting a transfer station on the Illinois River for the city’s waste water treatment plant. The transfer station project will cost the city 3.7 million and is expected to begin within the next month.
