MENDOTA – A bucket truck and an undisclosed amount of copper wire was reported stolen early Friday morning in Mendota. According to the Mendota Police Department they were called around 7 AM to the Com-Ed facility in the 1600 block of West Division Street where employees informed them of what was allegedly missing. The truck was located later in the morning but the wire was not recovered. The investigation is ongoing with the Illinois State Police and Mendota Police Department. If anyone has any information on this burglary they should contact authorities at once.
