IDOT seeks seasonal workers for winter program

 
OTTAWA – The Illinois Department of Transportation is offering seasonal work for its winter highway clearing program. Temporary positions include full time and on call positions to perform street work like spreading salt and plowing snow. Applicants must have a commercial driver’s license and submit to a criminal background check. State Representative Lance Yednock, who encourages even veterans to apply says, the work is especially important to our rural region. Farmers and agricultural workers have been known to historically fill out the snowbird ranks. IDOT’s Snowbird Program starts October 16th and runs through April 15th.
