STREATOR – State Representative Lance Yednock is working towards making the Marilla Park Pond trench-out a reality. The representative for the 76th District says he agreed to help Streator out before he went into office and although he’s been busy since then, he’s wrangled up the men willing to pitch in.
Representative Yednock says he’s waiting on equipment like matting to prevent trucks from getting stuck, as well as an excavator. If the state allows Yednock to drain the ponds pool, the project could go a lot smoother.
Yednock says if he has every piece of equipment ready to go the project could take up to 4 weeks. Otherwise it could take 6 months. If IDNR grants Yednock permission it could only take a month to complete.
