OTTAWA – Travelers catching flights at area airports during the Thanksgiving holiday are likely to be impacted by a high wind warning. According to the National Weather Service, Northern Illinois and surrounding areas are under a high wind warning that goes into affect Wednesday at 3 a.m. and expires at 6 p.m. Wind gusts are forecast to peak around 55 to 60 mph during the day with possible localized 60 plus mph wind gusts. Scattered power outages are also a possibility.
