MENDOTA – Northbrook, Lincoln, and Blackstone have all received Commendable school ratings from the Illinois Report Card. Director of Teaching and Learning Dr. Beth Wackerlin presented the report card to the Board of Education at Monday’s meeting, and reported that students in seventh and eighth grade tested higher than state average in both English Language Arts and Science. Although Dr. Wackerlin also stated that third and fourth grade students’ assessments show room for improvement, she explained that the school will re-evaluate methodology for teaching those lower grades.
