PERU – A family who lost their home to a tragic fire in Peru is receiving generous support from the community. Katherine Twardowski and her two sons lost their home last week Thursday to a fire that heavily damaged their home in the 1600 block of 5th Street. A go-fund-me page was started on the families behalf raising over $7,000 of the $10,000 goal in just four days. On Saturday, Twardowski commented that she’s blessed to have amazing people in the community that are coming together especially during the holidays.
