PRINCETON – Bureau County’s Emergency Management Association will have a public meeting on the updates of the Natural Hazards Mitigation Plan. Today at 5 p.m. at Princeton City Hall, the Illinois Department of Natural Resources will be presenting on floodplain mapping tools online, river gauges, post-flood floodplain inspections and flood mitigation. Bureau County EMA Director Keenan Campbell will discuss when to document damages and expenses following a natural disaster event using FEMA’s forms in case the community qualifies to apply for FEMA Public Assistance funding.
