STREATOR – Streator’s Plan Commission is expected to recommend a special use permit petition to allow a cannabis grower facility on West Main Street. Owners of John and Joe’s Florist in the 1100 block of West Main street have submitted a permit application to allow a Chicago-based marijuana cultivator to operate at the property. The overall project is said to entail a new 16,000 square foot facility to the south of the existing greenhouse. Plan commission will hold a public hearing prior to action at 6 p.m. on Tuesday.
