PERU – Baker Lake Park has remained open since the start of the COVID-19 Pandemic and Peru Police Chief Doug Bernabei said the majority of residents have been extremely appreciative to have the park as an outlet. Bernabei said that the Peru Police that are sent to the park are directed to thank those residents who are social distancing, as well as to try to encourage those who were not keeping an appropriate distance from others to do so. He said that for the most part, residents are doing their part to be safe and just want the parks to remain open.
