LACON – A second resident of Marshall County has tested positive for COVID-19. A woman in her 80’s was screened and tested by an area hospital. Public health officials were notified of a positive test, according to state and local public health protocol.
Public health officials are in the beginning stages of the investigation and are working to identify individuals who were in contact with the case. Federal privacy restrictions prohibit the release of any additional information regarding this case. No further information regarding the investigation is available at this time.
It is the second confirmed case of COVID-19 in Marshall County and the eighth in counties served by the Bureau, Putnam and Marshall County Health Departments. The first case was reported in Marshall County on March 23rd. The other 6 cases are in Bureau County.
