LELAND – The Leland Town and Country Association, the group responsible for organizing many of the annual 4th of July festivities, announced Tuesday that the 2020 event was cancelled. In a statement they said that it was an extremely difficult decision, but that they felt the safety and concern for everyone’s health took precedent. The Independence Day event was to feature fireworks, steak fry, parade and more.
