STREATOR – An 8-year-old girl was life flighted after the vehicle she was riding in collided with another in Southern LaSalle County. LaSalle County Sheriff’s Office says that late Friday morning, 28-year-old Vickey L. Meglich, of Streator, apparently failed to stop at a stop sign about 4 miles east of Wenona, and collided with a vehicle driven by 25-year-old Taylor J. Retoff, of Wenona. Deputies say the 8-year-old was flown to St. Francis of Peoria, while Meglich was taken to OSF Center for Health in Streator. Retoff and a passenger in her car, 23-year-old Ashley M. Vangorsten, of Minonk, were taken to OSF Saint James Hospital in Pontiac. The accident is still under investigation.
