OGLESBY- The Compeer Financial Fund for Rural America recently made a $10,000 grant to the Illinois Valley Community College agriculture program for biotechnology equipment. The equipment will be used in Introduction to Field Crop Science and Animal Science labs. Compeer made a $5,000 donation for ag technology in December.
“It’s both humbling and gratifying to have a first-class organization like Compeer supporting our agriculture program,” IVCC President Jerry Corcoran said. “Because of their generosity, our ag students will experience the latest developments in DNA research.”
