18 New Covid Deaths in Illinois on Friday

SPRINGFIELD – The Illinois Department of Health says 18 people died in the past 24 hours from the Coronavirus.  That’s the lowest death toll for a Friday since March 27th, when 8 Illinoisans died from the virus.  Also on Friday, 868 people tested positive, one fewer than the day before.   Locally, the LaSalle County Health Department said on Friday that 2 new cases have been confirmed, a female in her 20’s, and a male in his 20s.  The health department also said that 4 additional people have now recovered.
