UTICA – Starved Rock and Matthiessen State Park staff and conservation police officers are investigating a video that appeared on social media that apparently shows someone launching fireworks in a canyon. They are asking anyone with names, pictures of individuals, or videos from the incident which was shared on Snapchat and Instagram this weekend to contact them. One Snapchat video showed fireworks going off in the lake falls area of the Matthiessen Lower Dells. They are requesting you email any information you have to DNR.StarvedRock@illinois.gov or call the office directly at 1-815-667-4726.
