UTICA – A rural intersection that has seen multiple accidents over the years is getting new lights and signs. Construction is nearly done on the flashing lights, extra stop signs, and concrete islands at the intersection of East 8th and North 33rd Road in rural LaSalle County. Over the years dozens of crashes have occurred at that spot, just miles north of Utica, some of those tragically were fatal.
