SPRINGFIELD – 707 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 were reported by the Illinois Department of Public Health, along with 25 more deaths. The IDPH has now confirmed a total of 155, 506 total cases since the start of the pandemic in the state, with 7,218 deaths. Illinois’s public health department is also reminding residents of the importance of vaccines during the COVID-19 pandemic, especially for children under the age of two.
