LASALLE – LaSalle City Council discussed ways to better prevent firework activity in the future. Although consumer fireworks are banned in the state, several aldermen reported seeing illegal fireworks shot off around the fourth of July. Although how the council will adjust the city code to try to prevent fireworks is still undecided, they encouraged residents to call the police if they witness illegal consumer fireworks.
