DIXON – Two men are now in custody on charges related to a March shooting in Dixon. The Dixon Police Department say that a man and a woman were injured after being struck by gunfire on March 18th in the 1300 block of West Fourth Street. Injured were a 28-year-old woman and a 32-year-old man. They were taken to an area hospital with non-life threatening gunshot wounds. Authorities announced that 26-year-old Eric L. Thompson of Chicago and 32-year-old Clarence W. Prather of Dixon were both charged with two counts of attempted murder, aggravated battery, and aggravated discharge of a firearm. Thompson and Prather are both in the Lee County Jail with bond yet to be set.
