MENDOTA – Tuesday the Illinois Valley Animal Rescue sprung into action when a home was discovered in Mendota with nearly 20 pets. They announced on social media that they took in 10 dogs and 9 cats. IVAR suspects some of the cats, even though they were reportedly neglected and living in filthy conditions, may be missing cats from other homes. Due to the additional influx of animals, IVAR will be closing their cat house temporarily. With so many animals the cost for vetting will be substantial and every little bit helps. Monetary donations can be made at illinoisvalleyanimalrescue.net
